Lights off

On March 7, 2012, Rep. Barney Frank pointed out that the Republican leadership had allowed freshman Rep. Ben Quayle of Arizona to put his name on legislation written by two other members of the House, Rep. Jim Himes and Rep. David Schweikert. During the debate, Barney Frank called Rep. Jeb Hensarling's comments hypocritical. As a result, Barney Frank was prohibited from speaking on the floor for the rest of the day. This summary video shows the highlights of the exchange. The stolen legislation was passed as part of the "Jumpstart Our Business StartUps Act" or JOBS Act.
